PROFESSIONALS AND EXECUTIVES IN TRANSITION

We don't deal much in facts, when we contemplate ourselves.
                                                            --Mark Twain

It's not what we don't know that hurts us; it's what we know that isn't so.                                                             --Milton Erickson

WHY COACHING FOR PROFESSIONALS IN TRANSITION?
Physicians, attorneys, accountants, and other professionals have the education, technical skills, and scores on credentialing examinations necessary for entry into the world of business; however, success in professional and business endeavors often hinges on factors that are addressed only minimally in programs of professional education.

As Jay Levinson says, "These are bright people, motivated people, but the vast majority of them are just too busy or too overwhelmed by day-to-day business matters to implement the changes they know they must make. They have everything it takes to succeed except for one thing -- follow-up." Personal coaching supplements formal education and can make the important difference between modest accomplishments and a career that is truly gratifying.

As we said about personal coaching in general, "Coaching is having a dedicated mentor; it's getting knowledgeable support and encouragement and a new way of looking at things when you need it. If a coach is nothing else, a coach is a master of implementation, and a winning coach will impart that mastery to you."

WHAT WOULD SUCCESS LOOK LIKE?
Maintaining balance among career, family, and friends
Enjoying the money, comfort, autonomy, status, and reduced stress, that are associated with achieving transition to the next level
Completing that dissertation
Making partner or achieving tenure
Returning to a pre-scandal level of performance and moving forward
An enhanced financial and personal "bottom line"

FEES FOR PERSONAL COACHING:
An initial assessment of approximately three hours in length includes an interview with the potential coaching client and the completion of a questionnaire. This initial assessment helps us make informed recommendations to you regarding cost-effective assistance toward the goals that you have set for yourself. It is conducted on a fee for service basis and is required before any longer term commitment between coach and client is possible. The client agrees that this interview and assessment do not constitute a doctor-patient relationship in any way.

Fees for personal coaching are payable in advance, and coach and client typically commit to meet together in increments of twelve-week periods of time with sessions held once per week. At the end of each twelve-week period of time, coach and client discuss what progress has been achieved and what need exists, if any, for a continuation of the coaching relationship.

For details regarding fees, please call Chesapeake Coaching of Oyster Point Psychological.
